I’m sure everyone has that piece of furniture (or a few) that’s been around for awhile, is perfectly fine, but you don’t really love it. As someone who’s moved 4 times in 5 years, I wish I could say that I’ve become really good at just getting rid of furniture I dislike…but that can also get quite expensive.

So what do you do if you can’t just buy something new? Spruce up the old. My discovery of marble contact paper changed my life. Okay, maybe that’s a little dramatic but it definitely changed the life of my plain wooden console table.

In 2015, I made a New Year’s resolution that I would go paleo for at least three months. It was a little rough, but I’m happy to say I succeeded with only a few minor slip ups! But boy, did that fried chicken on April 1st taste oh so good 😉

During those three months, I cooked and baked a lot. Paleo recipes are pretty easy to find nowadays but I especially enjoyed seeking out the desserts. Yes, technically most desserts are not paleo because of refined sugar and butter and those who are strict argue that certain replacement ingredients don’t really count. But, asking me to completely cut out dessert was just too much to handle! With all that said, I would call this brownie recipe paleo-friendly . It probably fits more in the gluten-free category but, it’s delicious and you should indulge a little!

Growing up, my mom was always encouraging me to keep a good skincare routine – washing my face, using toner, moisturing, etc. My mother always had (and still has) a plethora of skincare products. Things to keep your skin soft, stuff with brightening effects, things you use at night vs during the day…you name it. I remember as a kid thinking how it all seemed like a lot of work.

Well of course, I now realize that I should have listened to my mother. Funny how that tends to happen.

Last year, I finally discovered the kind-of-crazy world of Korean beauty products. I am taking my mother’s advice and now have a skincare routine that’s rooted in the basics – keeping my skin clean and healthy. I am excited to share 4 of my favorite Korean skincare products!
